Halloween Practice

Smile!

Finally -- a picture of me smiling! I don't do it very often (I have to be very well rested and fed), but I'm starting to look at people more often and track them when they walk. And every now and then, I'll crack a grin. Mommy and Daddy do lots of silly things to make me smile. I'm pretty good at hold out though, just to see what they'll do next.

A Special Visit

Patricia came to visit us in DC! It was so nice of her to drive down, and Mommy and Daddy were very happy to see her. She gave me a really cute outfit to grow into, and I was on my best behavior. Now, Auntie Patricia won't believe my parents when they tell her that I was bad. Hehe. :)

Is That A Camera?

This is one of the rare pictures where I'm actually looking at the camera. I think Daddy had to position me carefully, and Mommy kept taking pictures until I was finally looking at her in one of them. Daddy says that I smell like a baby and that he likes it, but what did he expect? Also, you'll note that my hairline is receding. I've been trying out the comb-over hairstyle, but it's not really me. Hopefully, it will grow back soon!

My Chinese Name

Ah-Gong gave me my Chinese name. It's Yee-May, meaning harmony and beauty. I like it since it sounds so pretty! He wrote it out for me so that I will know how to write the characters.

Grandparents Were Back In Town!

Ah-Ma and Ah-Gong missed me so much that they came back to visit last week! It was fun because they carried me all the time, so I never had to be put down. Mommy and Daddy keep trying to make me do tummy time, but Ah-Gong just carried me up and down the hall. And every time I started to cry, he and Ah-Ma would change position so that I would be happy again! Grandparents are great.

Learning to Crawl

I'm practicing crawling here! And I'm wearing my new outfit -- this is for babies who are 3 months old. I'm getting big!

Sleeping in My Sling

This is how Mommy carries me around the house during the day when I'm fussy. Yes, I'm asleep, but if she puts me down, I'll cry until she picks me up again. Spoiled? Perhaps. But ever so happy!

Exploring DC

We went walking one day (well, they walked and I'm hiding in my stroller). We went around the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial, and there were lots of people out! I actually slept most of the way, but Mommy and Daddy were happy to be outside. Apparently, they don't go out much these days. I wonder what's holding them back?

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

We celebrated Daddy's birthday with a special cake! I didn't get a piece, though; I didn't even get to play with the bright little lights on top of the cake that Daddy blew out. Still, it was a fun time!

Screen Time

I'm not allowed to watch TV, but that laundry machine sure is interesting. It goes round and round and round...

Big Head, Little Head

My head circumference is in the 25th percentile for my age. I'm not sure where Daddy's is, but I'm guessing it's higher... it's almost as big as me!

Just Practicing

Mommy and Me

This is the cute sleeper Mommy got for me when I was still in her belly. She's sad that I'm already outgrowing it, so I wore it for her one night for TWO WHOLE HOURS! Then I spit up on it. Hey -- I'm a baby.
