Growing Girl

It's been a busy few weeks! I would have written sooner, but Mommy usually helps me and she's been working on something called a dissertation. I tried to find out what it was, but apparently, I'm not allowed to play with her computer. And they're trying to teach ME about sharing!

Let's see... I'm getting much faster at crawling. Sadly, I'm also not allowed to play with dirty slippers and electrical cords, which are my favorite targets. But, I can crawl to Mommy and Daddy when they call me. I'm getting a lot faster! And I can crawl over things, like table legs or Daddy legs. I keep getting stuck under chairs, though.

On the move!

I've also grown more teeth -- I now have 4 on the top to go with my 2 on the bottom. No pictures of those, though. They're shy! And crooked. But they sure do work well. I leave little teeth marks on my spoons and toothbrush.

I'm also stronger! In the mornings, this is what Mommy and Daddy see when they come into my room:

Good morning!

I can't pull myself up yet, but if someone helps, then I can stand up!


And last but not least, I can say "Mama!" I'm not sure what it means, but is makes Mommy really happy. Daddy is funny, though. Here's what our conversations are like now:

Daddy: Say "Dada!"
Me: Mama!
Daddy: No, Mama is asleep still. Dada's the one who got up to take care of you. Say "Dada!"
Me: Mama!
Daddy: Grr...

It's funny! At least I think so. Oh, and now I can eat squash, yams, carrots, apples, pears, and of course, prunes. It's messy business, but ever so yummy!
